We are pleased and proud that two of the Irritable Pelican Artisan Gallery Artists that submitted their artwork for consideration have been chosen to hang their pieces of art in the Jepson Center for the Arts.  This is quite an honor and our congratulations to both artists.

“Across Columbia Square”, an original pastel by Sarah Bernzott, and “Stepping Out: Bull Street”, an original pastel by Rebecca Marcussenare now on display at The Jepson Center for Arts at Telfair Museum for Arts, as part of an exhibit celebrating Savannah Art Association’s Centennial Celebration.

Irritable Pelican just had to stop and say "Thank You!" to our amazing Tybee Island community! We learned a long time ago that if our artists are successful, our business will be successful. With your assistance, we watched it happen during June.
Our first full month in business was an absolute success for our artists, and for Irritable Pelican Gallery. The purchases made in our gallery are helping to support nearly 30 local artists and their families. Somewhere around 85% of the sales in our gallery also stay on or within 10 miles of Tybee Island. That is so important for our artists, our business and our community, especially now.
Irritable Pelican owes this success to our amazing group of talented artists, and to all of you, our loyal customers! Thank you to the locals and out-of-town shoppers, who in spite of quarantine are purchasing online. Thank you to the locals and the visitors who come into our gallery and shop. And thank you, especially, to our repeat customers.
We've also enjoyed delivering your purchases throughout Tybee Island this month. We've been all over the island, to homes, rentals and hotels for deliveries. We've seen (at a social distance) many friends that we would not have seen otherwise. We are so glad we were able to give you an opportunity to shop and enjoy our products.
Thank you to the customers who took advantage of our private viewings. They have worked well for everyone, are growing in popularity, and we intend to continue them indefinitely. We sanitize before you arrive, wear masks, and sanitize after the viewer has left. We also have plenty of sanitizer and gloves in case you want to look at or hold a product. Safety is paramount, and we work hard to ensure it.
Thank you for the art commissions. Our talented artists love to paint and create, and love to collaborate with others to create special artwork that will become personal and family treasures. We've had several this month, and were pleased to be able to help provide exactly the artwork that was needed.
Thank you for supporting us, and thank you for supporting small business on Tybee. We are a very unique community, and our small businesses are dependent on local support.
