”Thanks for adding a splash of my color to your world,” says Ann
Coastal Georgia, and Tybee Island, especially, love their Tybee Turtles! Yearly, just around May 1, female loggerhead turtles, heavy with eggs, trek up our beaches, dig huge holes and lay their eggs. Then they bury them and trek back to the ocean as quickly as they came. The eggs are left to be incubated by the warm sands and hatch after an incubation period of 60-75 days.
